An Evening at Chesterwood Garden | A contemporary dance collective prioritizing site-specific work, BodySonnet’s performance is directly inspired by the Chesterwood estate and the nature of the titular artist’s work as a sculptor. Through the impermanent and fleeting nature of dance, we aim to accentuate Daniel Chester French’s distillations of the human form and explore the inherent intersectionality of dance and sculpture.
The performance created by the four BodySonnet dancers runs 25-30 minutes. The work is accompanied by local music artist, violist and composer Bram Fisher. Directly following there will be a post-performance discussion and Q & A led by Donna Hassler, Executive Director of Chesterwood.
