The newly formed ensemble Raga Maqam explores the confluences of Indian classical Raga and Maqam, the improvisational structure of the Middle East, North Africa, and Central Asia. This work-in-progress performance comes after a weeklong residency of intensive jamming and experimentation — expect deep grooves and never-before-heard combinations of ancient sounds.
Every seat is a good one, but preferred ticket buyers get the best of the house, as well as free museum admission on the day of, or day after the show.
