Join local photographer Thad Kubis and spend an afternoon of plein air photography at Bartholomew’s Cobble in Ashley Falls.
During this 3.5-mile hike, experiment with diffused lighting, shadows, the texture of the woods, and the flow of river. Film, digital, smartphones, or tablets are all welcome. A tripod is recommended.
The session will begin with a short walk along Weatogue Road to the Tulip Tree Trail. The group will then head east down the Tulip Tree Trail to the Bailey Trail. We will walk the Bailey Trail alongside the Housatonic River, and switch to the Spero Trail, ending up back at the visitor’s center.
Students will be responsible for paying site fees and/or parking fees associated with this hike upon arrival. Admission to Bartholomew's Cobble is $5 per person (for non-Trustees members) and $0 (for members of The Trustees).
