In conjunction with the Arabesque exhibition, dancer-choreographer Jody Sperling appears live at the Clark to share the artistry of modern dance pioneer Loïe Fuller and explore the arabesque influence on dance. Using fabric, motion, and light, Fuller created a unique art form that made her the embodiment of the Art Nouveau movement. Sperling is the foremost modern interpreter of Fuller’s distinctive choreography.
