Is there anything more fun than racing your bike downhill with a bunch of your close friends? How about racing your bike downhill with a bunch of your close friends on the snow! (fingers crossed that theres still some snow, if not, we'll get muddy, and that's fun too!)
Come out and join us for an afternoon of bike racing at the beast of the east, Bousquet Ski Area. Rumor has it the snowcat guys are going to push a bunch of snow around for us to rip around on, think jumps, berms, and whatever else we can think up.
Post race we are going to have an awards ceremony in the lodge at Bousquet, complete with some mountain bike themed movie screenings and a raffle to benefit a local pumptrack!
Come out and join us whether you're racing or not, we'll have a full demo fleet of bikes to play around on, music blasting, and a bunch of sunshine to soak up on the deck at Bousquet Ski Area!! Party in the lodge to follow the racing. Yeeehaaawww 👍👍👍
Details for the race are as follows...
- Course is going to be approximately 1/4 mile downhill slalom style course with gates, rollers, berms, and jumps on snow
- Racers will have to push back to the top of the course during practice and racing, expect an approximately five minute push
- To Stud or not to Stud. It’s up to you, but and it’s a big but, all studs must be facing in!! No studs facing out!
Schedule
- Registration and practice will run from Noon to 2pm.
- Timed runs will start at2pm and run to 4pm (ish). Racers will ride one at a time on the course, timed. Racers will get as many timed chances as they can fit into the two hour period.
- After the timing / qualifying closes, the top eight riders from both the Adult category and the Youth category will be placed into a bracket style showdown!
- Finals will run from 4pm to 6pm
- Awards will be post race at the base of Bousquet
- Video screenings, music, raffle, and good ole fashion fun 'till last call!
