HOPE IS A FOUR LETTER WORD
On Friday, September 7, from 5-7 pm, The Whitney Center for the Arts will host an exhibition of over 50 works of art created by up to 22 young artists (ages 13-22) to raise awareness for suicide prevention in collaboration with the Arts in Recovery for Youth (AIRY) program led by Marney Schorr and Cate Wolff.
"HOPE IS A FOUR LETTER WORD" features paintings, sculpture, masks, installation and written word.
AIRY is a collaborative youth program in Berkshire county whose mission is to empower youth and foster hope by connecting the expressive arts to suicide prevention.
Proceeds of art sales will help raise money for youth suicide prevention in Berkshire County.
AIRY is funded by the Berkshire Coalition for Suicide Prevention, the Cultural Council of the Northern Berkshires, the Northern Berkshire United Way and private donors. Enrollment for the program is open and ongoing.
