First Sunday Free: The Inhabited Landscape

On this First Sunday Free at the Clark, enjoy complimentary admission to the galleries and activities that encourage creativity and curiosity—both inside the museum and out in the winter landscape. Indoors, explore the special exhibition Turner and Constable: The Inhabited Landscape with a gallery talk at 1 pm led by exhibition curator Alexis Goodin. At 3 pm, join the Clark's Hardymon Director Olivier Meslay in the auditorium for a public lecture related to the special exhibition.

Art-making in the Michael Conforti Pavilion includes birdhouse making and a “dark and stormy night” drawing activity inspired by weather in literature. On the lower level of the Clark Center, enjoy a special listening space where visitors are invited to relax with a sketch pad and draw what they hear inspired by musical compositions that evoke the British landscape. While you’re out and about, grab a cup of cocoa by fire pits out on the terrace, assemble a winter plein air kit, and test drive the Clark’s new snowshoes, available for checkout (if there’s snow on the ground).

All activities and admission to the galleries are free as part of the Clark’s First Sundays Free program, supported by funding from the officers and employees of Allen & Company, Inc.
