This three-part series looks at books and periodicals made by modern and contemporary artists. The series will consider how artists have used typography and the book form—from avant-garde journals of the early twentieth century to artists’ books of the last twenty years—to advance their aesthetic and political programs. These hands-on sessions, using books drawn from the Clark library’s extensive collections, are led by Robert Wiesenberger, associate curator of contemporary projects.
Additional sessions in this series will be held on December 5 and December 19.
Due to space limitations, registration is required.
