BIFF's 30th Anniversary Screening of Scrooged with Karen Allen!

The Mahaiwe Performing Arts Center 14 Castle St., Great Barrington, Massachusetts 01230
It's time for some nostalgia and holiday laughs as the Berkshire International Film Festival presents a special family screening of SCROOGED, the dark comedy update of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol directed by Richard Donner. The film stars Bill Murray as Frank Cross, a cynical television executive whose cutthroat business practices have made him rich and powerful, but left him a coldhearted and lonely cynic. Karen Allen plays his compassionate and kind-hearted girlfriend, Claire Philips. Cross’s ruthless nature inspires a supernatural intervention when he callously fires his long-suffering yes-man Eliot (Bobcat Goldthwait) on Christmas Eve. That night, he is visited by three eccentric ghosts (John Forsythe, David Johansen and Carol Kane), who force him to look back on the life choices that led him to his present state and the grim future that awaits if he doesn't change his ways. Special guest Karen Allen will be on hand with Berkshire writer and BIFF Board Member Mary Mott for a conversation and audience Q&A session. https://www.mahaiwe.org/BIFFScrooged
