Their intention is to nurture a European feel and sensibility within the picturesque beauty of the Berkshires. Artist Marilyn Kalish draws inspiration from Parisian salon-style installation, using complex layering of beautiful, antique objects to create stunning vignettes within the gallery space. This form of presentation pays homage to the great artists of the Renaissance such as Da Vinci and Michelangelo. By showing contemporary art surrounded by vintage frames and vestiges we integrate the respected aesthetics of the past with the progress of the present.
