The Mount is a National Historic Landmark and cultural center that celebrates the intellectual, artistic, and humanitarian legacy of Edith Wharton. The staff engages a diverse audience by providing context to Wharton’s life and achievements through our interpretive and public programs, and preservation of her historic estate. The Mount has evolved from a traditional historic house museum to a vibrant cultural center, engaging audiences through our year-round artistic and literary programs. Guided Garden & House Tours
May through October we are open daily
November - February we are open on Saturdays and Sundays
Our hours are 10:00 am - 5:00 pm.
House Tours start at 10:30 am. The last tour starts at 4:00 pm.
