The Hollow Fields Reserve comprises 40 acres of gorgeous hayfield, habitat for grassland-nesting birds like bobolinks. Mowed trails through the fields guide walkers to views of the entire length of Yokun Ridge – stunning views in autumn!
In 2013 Ron and Judith Shaw donated frontage on Perry’s Peak Road that gives access to a nice long piece of Sleepy Hollow Brook – the namesake of this “Hollow Fields Reserve”. The 139-acre Reserve comprises beautiful hay fields full of bobolinks, pretty hardwood forests, the banks of Sleepy Hollow Brook and provides magnificent views of the entire length of Yokun Ridge. A 2-mile walk on mowed paths through the fields will get you the views. A longer, more strenuous hike into the woods could get you some blueberries!
