The Berkshire Botanical Garden is a not-for-profit, membership-supported educational organization encompassing more than 15 acres of cultivated land at the intersection of Routes 102 and 183 in Stockbridge, Massachusetts. Called “a glistening community gem” by Virginia Small, author of the book Great Gardens of the Berkshires, Berkshire Botanical Garden is open from early May to mid-October. The display gardens are both functional and ornamental and are among the oldest in the region. They have evolved and expanded over the years in breadth and variety through a series of bequests and major gifts. Our plant collections emphasize flora that is indigenous to or thrives in the Berkshires.
