This is wonderful pond if you are looking for a more remote place to swim. Although the area of Beartown State Forest where it is located has visitors and campers, the views and accessibility to remote sections of the Berkshires woods are spectacular. The hiking trails around the pond, as well as the bathrooms and changing area are all well-maintained. There is a charge for parking during the active season, but visitors often find its worth it.
