Berkshire Yoga Dance & Fitness
This is a good option if you happen to be in Pittsfield or looking for a studio with something beyond just yoga. It is a co-op studio offering a wide variety of yoga, dance and fitness classes. Classes are open to all ages, levels and abilities in a friendly and inviting atmosphere where newcomers are always welcome. No need to sign-up, just drop in anytime.
Insider's Tip: While Pittsfield is not known to be the center for Berkshire yoga, this is a good studio in the center of the city.

Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health
57 Interlaken Rd, Lenox, Massachusetts 01262For more than 40 years, Kripalu has been teaching skills for optimal living through education for the whole person: body, mind, heart, and spirit. It is the largest and most established retreat center for yoga, health, and holistic living in North America. Yoga programs are offered for people at all levels, feature all yoga traditions and styles, and include therapeutic yoga, yogic anatomy, and trainings for teachers.
Insider's Tip: If you are on a budget for either time or money, you can create your own custom experience at Kripalu and still have a great time. Look into the R&R experiences or if you are in the area long term, look into the BKC program.

Lenox Yoga
4 Main Street, Lenox, Massachusetts 01240The studio features a cooperative of independent teachers, hand selected for their expertise. Classes incorporate many different styles and backgrounds of yoga into flowing practices. Teachers are trained to work with beginners and help them progress by providing individual modifications for each pose. We teach Hatha, Kriya, Kripalu,, SUP Yoga, Ashtanga, Vinyasa, and Power Yoga, and we have added Pilates Taiji and Qigong. Levels range from easy to moderate to vigorous practices.
Insider's Tip: Try a class taught by Sue Parsley. She has taught at some renowned resorts around the world and is the founder of this studio.

Lifeworks Studio
50 Castle Street, Great Barrington, Massachusetts 01230Lifeworks is a diverse studio located in Great Barrington offering more than just yoga classes. It is one of the newer studios in the area, offering Iyengar, prenatal and other less conventional yoga modalities.
Insider's Tip: This studio also offers classes in pilates and zumba.

Radiance Yoga

Rhythms Center
55 Pittsfield Rd, Lenox, Massachusetts 01240Rhythms or Healing Rhythms is a great local studio with some renowned teachers such as co-owner, Dan Leven. There are some diverse offerings here from somatic experience to many of the same teachers and programs you might encounter at Kripalu, but in a much smaller, local studio.
Insider's Tip: This is a great place to start a qi gong practice. Shake Your Soul is also one of the most popular classes.

Sruti Yoga
33 Railroad St,, Berkshire, MassachusettsThis is the area's top Astanga studio. It is an organized and clean studio with a strong community and teachers, though the most popular class is Mysore. It is conveniently located in downtown Great Barrington.
Insider's Tip: For those unfamiliar with astanga, be sure to do your research as the classes here are different and generally more vigorous than your average vinyasa class.

30 Elm Ct, Great Barrington, Massachusetts 01230Yoga Great Barrington is one of the area's oldest studios and has a strong local following. They offer classes in yoga and meditation and are to the go-to for most yoga practitioners looking for a good local studio in South County.
Insider's Tip: The teachers here are wonderful and open to questions concerning your practice.
