The Berkshire Museum will present a 2-day session of this year's GSK Science in the Summer program at the Dalton Library on Thursday and Friday, July 12 and 13.
This session is for students entering grades 2 and 3. Pre-registration is required, and the program is free!
This summer, thousands of students across the country will learn about the sun and the stars, Earth’s moon, space travel and more when GSK Science in the Summer™ returns to local libraries and community centers for its 32nd year.
Through active, hands-on learning, elementary school students in second through sixth grades will learn that, through knowledge, education and hard work, worlds beyond ours are reachable – all while they learn the basic STEM skills that will prepare them for academic and professional success.
GSK Science in the Summer™ is a fun, free education program that brings exciting, hands-on experiments to children across the country. For more than 30 years, GSK has worked to instill students with a lifelong love of learning!
This summer, the Berkshire Museum will once again bring the GSK Science in the Summer™ program to students in Berkshire County. In July and August, Berkshire Museum educators will be teaching the Science of Space to students at Morningside, Crosby, and Conte Schools in Pittsfield, and Muddy Brook Elementary in Great Barrington.
Programs with open enrollment will be offered at the Dalton Library, Otis Library and Museum, Mason Library, Berkshire South Regional Community Center, North Adams Library, Lee Library, and Lenox Library.
