The Playful Pinch Pot (Online Class)

Find your way with clay through the humble pinch pot. Learn to articulate with touch. Make a smooth and refined pinched bowl or a deeply tactile pinched cup. Create a multi-chambered sculpture, a bud vase, or even a whistle from two joined pinch pots.

For inspiration we will look at a myriad of textures and forms found in nature such as the delicate tapered shape of a milkweed pod, the ridges of a cockle shell, or a spiny jimson weed. This class will focus on mastering pinch pot techniques while providing playful exercises that stretch our creative thinking. All levels are welcome.
