Energetic, joyous, fresh, fun…Heard’s sound aims to waken up your ears, enliven your heart, and even get you up and dancing! Original world music with jazz roots, influences from West Africa, Brazil, places in between and points beyond…AND they recently hit #15 on the JazzWeek WorldJazz charts with their new release Karibu! The original repertoire of Heard is the work of composer-arranger-pianist Elizabeth Woodbury Kasius who brings a wide array of styles — jazz, classical and world music — into her captivating soundscape. Her inspirations come from her diverse experiences and interests and are often drawn from the raw and powerful sources that nature provides.
The Mount is a Massachusetts Cultural Council UP designated organization welcoming participants of all disabilities. Please contact Nicole Williams at 413-551-5100 or by email, nwilliams@edithwharton.org, to discuss accommodations needed to participate fully in this event.
