Blacksmith Workshop Hancock Shaker Village
Learn basic blacksmithing skills by making several projects of your choice using traditional blacksmith’s tools and techniques in a coal-fired forge. Students begin by making several hooks to learn how to manage the forge fire, heat the stock, shape the steel with hammer and anvil, and finish. Students may then move on to more advanced projects such as plant hangers, hearth or kitchen utensils, a candle sconce, or other projects of their choice. Join us for a fun and fast paced weekend, no experience is required, only a desire to learn. Advance registration required.
FEE $150/$135 members; plus a $100 materials fee (cash only) payable directly to the instructor
