Lee Founders Weekend

You're invited to Lee's 241st Birthday Party!

Beginning Thursday evening with a cemetery tour hosted by the Lee Historical Society at the South Lee Cemetery at 5:00 we have a full weekend of fun, games, food, music, magic and more!

Friday evening will feature the "Taste of Lee" with tastings from some of our fabulous restaurants + the Chuck Wagon food truck; live music, magicians, “CARRnival”, face painting, raffles, tennis clinics, Hot Air Balloon Rides (at Lee Athletic Field - 5:00 pm), a Mum Sale & Tacos in a Bag Sale at St. Mary’s church (Friday & Saturday), street vendors, and health clinics. CreativeLEE XVIII Annual Exhibit opening reception from 3:00-5:00 at Lee Library. Locker Room Sports Pub will host live music “James Hacker Walker” (8:00pm). A spectacular Fireworks Show will bring an end to the evening (8:00 ish) – but not an end to the fun, Saturday & Sunday are also jam-packed with events!

On Saturday the fun continues with a 5K Road Race at Lee High (8:00 am); the Hometown Parade down Main Street (10:00 am); after the parade at the Lee Athletic Field Bowey the Clown and Terry ala Berry will be performing, there will be children's games & activities, and tennis games w/prizes; Big Green Egg Cook Off (local chefs compete to win “Best Ribs”) and a Classic Car Display at the Town Gazebo (11:00-1:00); Sons of Italy Grinder Sale in the Town Park (11:00-1:00); Festival Latino of the Berkshires will be in Town Park from 2:00-7:00 with dancing, music, food, & street vendors. Customer Appreciation Day at Lee Hardware. At 7:30 Berkshire Beatlesque will perform at Lee Congregational Church. Locker Room Sports Pub will host live music: “Music by 41 Trio” (8:00pm).

Sunday begins with the Kiwanis Pancake Breakfast at St. Mary’s; a Lee CTA-sponsored wooden racquet tennis tournament at Greenock Country Club begins at 9:00 am. The Lee Lions Duck Race is at 2:00 pm. Then, to top-off a great weekend, Sunday NFL Football (Jaguars vs Patriots) @4:30 at Locker Room Sports Pub – with weekend food specials, 20 beers on Tap.
