One show only!
In conjunction with Turner and Constable: The Inhabited Landscape, Images Cinema and The Clark present The View from Here, a film series exploring three different approaches to the role of landscapes in cinema: as subject, as inspiration, and as a means to explore character and emotion.
Columbus Movie stars John Cho, Haley Lu Richardson, Parker Posey and Rory Hugh Culkin. When a renowned architecture scholar falls suddenly ill during a speaking tour, his son Jin finds himself stranded in Columbus, Indiana, a small Midwestern city celebrated for its many significant modernist buildings. While there, Jin strikes up a friendship with Casey, a young architecture enthusiast who works at the local library. As their intimacy develops, Jin and Casey explore both the town and their conflicted emotions about the challenges each faces: Jin's estranged relationship with his father and Casey's reluctance to leave Columbus and her mother.
"A gentle but sharply defined story, brimming with grace, compassion and performances of perfect naturalism, it is unashamedly intellectual yet deeply human." — The Playlist
