Sam Shepard stars as test pilot Chuck Yeager who broke the sound barrier, only to find himself yesterday's news with the ascent of the camera-ready Mercury 7 astronauts. Additional cast includes Ed Harris as John Glenn and Scott Glenn as Alan Shepard. (Rated PG, 3h 13min.)
